I was off work for one week with a doctors note it turned out i had gout and i was given medication. I fully intended to return to work the following week which would have caused me to incurred 8 days off in one year. The Dom sent for a atos report when i returned to work after 5 days the atos report was rejected and i was forced to go back on the sick for one more week. The Dom sent for another report, a new atos report was sent which the Dom can except I now have had 13 days off sick 5 of them forced on me.if a first stage warning is given to me it is usually taken by my Dom's girlfriend or one of his managers who are to scared to go against him.what should i do in the event of this happening.

If you have only had 13 days and two instances in a 12 month period you are on the edge but will not trigger a stage.

BUT THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT....
You must ask for a copy of the original ATOS report,a written copy of the reasons for rejection and a copy of the final accepted ATOS report.
You will need them in the future,Gout is usually a recurring condition...and as i said...you are on the edge.

I really really don't get this,why is this being allowed to carry on.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

It's funny how these Atos reports are rejected when they favour you, or don't correspond with what the mangers says on the business referral but are taken as gospel when they are after ill health retiring you. :roll:

a stage 1 is only triggered by 4 absences or 14 continuous days off in any 12 month period

Not continuous. Total of 14 days however you accumulate them.
