starting at another office

After our revision the vans have to be parked at another office (no space at ours) so effectively you start work there.My question do you get travel allowance?

Have you not argued that you go to your parent office at your start time then get transferred to where the vans are parked.
How far away are both.

we park them in the street but its not safe to leave them in the street overnight it's a small office no room for more than 1 van overnight the nearest office is 2 miles away

What POSTMAN means is that if your start time is 0600 then that's the time you turn up at this "other" office to pick up the vans and if your finishing time is 1400 then that's the time you drop the van off at this "other" office.

You are basically being paid to move vans around....result!

what your saying here is you think you have effectively been transfered to this neighbouring office? where do you park your car ? are you saying you have to travel two miles further to this new office ? or is there a mini bus at your office taking you to pick the vans up from the neighbouring office ?

as postman says you should be reporting to your place of work first ie sign on as their always reminding us
you start your day at parent office if they want you to move vans absolutely yes but in their time withinn your hours
their problem let them manage thats what their paid for

There is no mini bus to take us down we are being told to start at the other office. i think we should start at our own office and get transfered over

in that case they should give you travel expenses
