Police yourself and use the trolley.
Or just follow like a sheep ?
Not really having a go at you mate because it happening everywhere, but the buck ultimately stops with you.
(Meaning everybody is responsible for their own health & safety.
You (everyone) will have been told to use the equipment provided if any comebacks.

I like the trolleys. Makes my feet a bit sore but it's a fair trade off for back pain.

Also slows me right down so I get to brings loads of mail back for my DIM to cry over!

Our Office complete opposite.
Not had P+L yet ,but a significant amount of the Office use the old golf trolleys,wich are totaly unsuitable for the job ,just like LDV vans
just not upto the job.We have proably got more broken ones than good ones.Now in our office ,you have to watch your trolley all the time in case another Postie nicks it.

Not allowed anything new till our revision.Have used 1 of these new trolleys before and they are really good,cant wait to get one.

Trolleys do slow you down a bit ,and take a toll on your legs,but their must be something in them as so many of us use them,so much better than doing your back in. No good for Flyers.

For hills,do your bag so its light going up and heavy coming down.

If your office dont want trolleys send them to other offices that do.

We've made massive progress in the last 2 months and would say 75% of our park and loopers are now using a LWT . Because they do slow you down a bit posties have been cutting off , even under heavy pressure and some shocking tactics from some of the office managers . The office has been failing and only know have the powers that be acknowledged that the four hour delivery time is not enough . On Tuesday we get our new duty structures for revision ( version 2 ) and a little bird as told me that the P&L delivery spans will be increased from four to five hours . I would say with five hours our duty will be completed on time five days a week much better than completing on time only three times since mid December .

The union rep , planner , a couple of the office managers and the posties who have dug in their heels and done the job right should give themselves a pat on the back by giving our next revision ( version 2) a real chance of working . In a couple of months I'm quite optimistic that we will have a working revision and will be able to say so in the in the offices with working revision thread .

. The only thing that really grates me in extending our delivery spans is that the finish as early as possible and at any cost squad will gain as well , when they deserve f*ck all . .

As for my experience in using the LWT , it's mainly the set up and fold down at each loop that slows me down and not the towing around . I worked overtime last week and delivering to flats I used a bag , putting a bag on my shoulder for the first time in months felt nearly as strange as the first day I used a trolley . Using a trolley is a winner for me and in my opinion duties where bags should not be carried should have all the bag straps cut off , that would be a big step in stopping the cheaters F*cking the job up . Then when we have the cheaters delivering properly shackles need to be installed into the brew room and if needs be chain them in for the duration of their break .

Surely such a radical change in the revision will have to be endorsed by the members.
Personally i'm not sure how keen i would be to agree to such a long delivery span.
Not everybody is able to complete 5 hours of delivery every day....just my opinion but i wouldn't touch it.

. They seem not to care but when something happens they don't like they always seem to be the ones who make the most noise and blame everyone else but themselves . The best one I like is when a cheater rightly rants about the loss of our d2d payments but then works eight to ten hours without a break . The most suprising thing is the majority of cheaters are the most senior staff who have witnessed the job getting harder and harder over the years .

Every Wednesday from now until introduction in May we are doing revision version 2 trials . We are going to be starting later and I can't believe I'm saying this and it sounds loopy , POSTIES WILL BE CALLED FROM THEIR FRAMES AND MADE TO TAKE THEIR BREAKES . This coupled with the joint union and management annoucement from about a month ago , that no one will be allowed to start early , we seem to be making real progress in the right direction . The only thing I worry about is that it's not some fad and once the second revision is in place and shown to be working , the guard will be dropped and the old habits will start to return .

We haven't had walk sequensing fully introduced yet . When it does come we won't need as many indoor hours , so them hours are being transfered to outdoor time .

The first walk sequencing trial starts on Wednesday . I can only form an opinion with the information I've been given , if the walk sequencing figures are bull sh*t then our second revision will be doomed to failure .

We've finally got recognition from senior managemant that the delivery side of our p&l duties takes longer than four hours . The next step maybe to convince them there's not enough time invested in the office to prep the walks . We will have to wait and see .

We're getting nowhere near 85% sequenced mail as per plan.

This is not an audited thing, it's just obvious every morning that it's way less.

Also a lot of the sequenced stuff has had one passs throught be machinges, or a faulty ass or something, so even of the amount that is "sequenced", it isn't all sequenced at all.
