doe's your office display the o/t aggregate list for all to see? a lot of members very defensive about this here, and get a bit upset when it goe's on the notice board.

My old place did. The new one doesnt have an agg board at all, but generally they are desperate for people to do it so its not an issue atm.

Don't have such a list. It would be too embarrassing. How could you justify some posties getting 50 hours plus a week when others are struggling to get 30.
Does an Office have to display this info? If it does I might just suggest it to the Rep, if nothing else it'll put the cat amongst the pigeons. Trouble is I'll be back at the top of the DIMs s**t list. Again!

Just ask your Rep to keep your name out of it, and the DOM shouldn't find out you had anything to do with it.

Dont have a docket list in my section - no one wants to do it except for a few maduns.

Never heard of nor seen such a list. All i know is the same faces would be in the top 5 every week.

What's the theory behind such a list? Is it simply a matter of "Name em & Shame em"?
It seems most offices have a similar problem of the same people always getting the OT! I think it's a bit like that Country & Western song, "What goes on behind closed doors"!

the theory is those at the bottom of the agg list get the docket the next time round. thats why the barons don't want any visability.

yes they should. the managers don't mind displaying it, its the big docket men who hate it. as a local rep i get it e mailed to me and its a bloody eye opener.

The Union has to protect jobs.

The priority is to make sure that we are fully staffed.

If there is regularly more than 35 hours overtime, we have to seriously consider whether we can can ask management to recruit another full time worker.

Overtime can only be tolerated if everyone has an equal opportunity to do it. Otherwise management will only allocate overtime to the most productive, regardless of need.

If workers can meet their financial commitments by doing overtime, they will be less willing to make a sacrifice to increase basic pay.

On Wednesday night, a gay couple were thrown out of a pub in Soho for kissing. The gay community supported this couple and the pub had to shut its doors at 4pm on Friday and forfeit the lucrative Friday night takings. If postal workers were as solid as this group, we would all get a decent wage.
