Help! ill health and losing driving grade

Hello, newbie here, I would be very grateful for any help and advise anyone can give me, I was diagnosed with diabetes and obstructive sleep apnea in september 2010 and I was off work for two months I came back on a rehab programme but I was still struggling with my delivery duty. I was still under ATOS and had sick notes from my doctor whilst on rehab. My doctor and ATOS both advised that I was only to do 1-1.30 hours on delivery after my 5 hours driving, but because my condition slowed my delivery speed down the delivery was taking me 2.30-3 hours, the manager only took about 30 minutes work off the delivery, after complaining to him for weeks he still did not do anything, then I had a stroke on duty and have been off work for another two months with another months sick note up until 11th May.
The advice I have now been given from HR is that because I cannot go back to being a professional driver I will lose my MGV grade, which I think is a bit unfair as I am not choosing to stop driving I am being forced to by my condition, and I don`t think I will be able to go back on delivery for the forseeable future.
I was just wondering what will happen to me and if what HR says is right and could I claim that is unfair, and also would I be able to make a claim against my manager for not following the advice given by the doctor and ATOS.

Is the sleep apnea being treated?, if not, the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) would have to be informed and they can stop you from driving until it is!

also the stroke may be the problem. again having to inform the DVLA.

But if you have been OK'ed by DVLA to drive, I can't see why you cannot carry on driving.

cheers, the sleep apnea is being treated and DVLA ok, with the stroke the dvla say I can drive but cannot drive acertain type of vehicle for 1 year( I don`t want to say which vehicle because it would let any nosey managers viewing the site know who I am) I get mgv allowance because it`s a speciallist role, and I think it`s unfair that because of the stroke my mgv grade will be lost.
