Sorry another quick question, i was asked to work my day off (Tuesday) but when i got into the office they realised they had made a mistake and didn't actually need me after about an hour, so offered that i went home and they would just pay me for the hour, i said no because i had already made my way into work, my partner had also gone into work seeing as i wouldn't be around, so it was a wasted day anyway.
Anyway, he now tells me that i will have Thursday off as my day off - can he do that..?
I came in on overtime, now it will just be my normal week..

You need to get in touch with your area rep, bang in a couple of grievances would be my advice but speak to your Area Rep.

As far as I'm aware as soon as the duties are pinned on the noticeboard they cannot be changed, if your day off is Tuesday (you must be a reserve like me lol) then they can't change it or swap it for another to suit themselves, as I said speak to your area rep and ask for a grievance form, you may not need to use it but they'll ask why you want it and tell them you're thinking about putting a grievance in because.................................................. you will soon get a response and know where you stand

They have double booked people in the past at my office and have offered them either to prep a round and go home and get a days holiday or to claim the OT stay and prep overtime rounds and sort some mailsort. Most decide to stay and get the OT.
If you decided to just go home yourself then you would only get paid the hour.
