Payment for polling cards...20pence, EACH!

Yes 20 pence each.

That is what a woman and her husband are getting payed to delivery these (franked 1st class) in Essex.

She simply answered a council add in the local newspaper and picked up 2000 of them. That's £400 by my basic maths. I couldn't believe it so i asked her again and again, no mistake, that's what they were getting payed.

So, why the F*** do WE only get 6pence per item.

And i thought we where bad in our office here in Northern Ireland 4.6p each

Previously he'd told us to take the 5 days to deliver them, only take them to were you had mail and DON'T CLAIM ANY EXCESS cos RM are skint! Idiot

Hmmm. We got told we would be paid for them (but not how much- DIM has still to get "back to us" about that detail), that they ALL had to delivered on the day they arrived, and then said no overtime would be paid that day for delivering them as we were already getting paid per item. Out till after 16.00 delivering the fecking things. Still though, the mail keeps dropping off

a national agreement and not local where most offices get stuffed by RM.

Just apply for it via local council and ask them for a certain area then deliver it with work on the sly and give yourself a bonus :).

The payments for polling cards are not agreed locally by RM DO Management/CWU. They appear to be agreed between RM Area Management and the publishers/distribution houses.

Basically they can and will take whatever profit they want and pay you the remainder, no choice and certainly not any sort of agreement.

It's local agreement as to how much you get paid.
But you do get paid for the delivery of polling cards!! per item!! NOT overtime rate for extended!!
Speak to your rep or your area rep! because your DOM's taking the piss.

Totaly agree, local agreements? Pffft!

It's a local agreement that stretches back since before BTA 2010 and P&M 2007
and they did at least resist the inclusion of election material in the delivery supplement.

Our DO has never agreed a figure for election material, it cannot therefore be a local agreement. If area decides, its an area agreement not a local one!

i've spoken to my rep and he hasnt got a clue regading any payments for the poll cards. management claimed poll cards were DSA postage so no payment. so what the hell is going on? is there a payment in birmingham or not?
