It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

SW16 are still working as 318s and still have a massive backlog my D.O.M. told me today
.Our Line manager along with others had to go there today to do a walk.D.O.Ms. going tomorrow, sounds like they cant get an agreement to clear the backlog as the SW16 boys and girls are making a stand against management proposals to get rid of nights, late collection s/a and there week off(they do 6 day week and have week off at the end or something like that)
Management are now saying they will stop there pay as they are Going slow
our area rep as good as lives there now and is trying to keep the situation under controll but its looking grim.sw16 have always stood solid and have an Execellent rep who is well clued up and gets 100% backing of his members

They're going through the wars there at the mo.
Seems they are being watched and monitered when they are on their frames.
Clocking when they go for a piss and all that shite.
You sad f***ers RM,and Rob Jenson(South Lon Gen Manager),you should be ashamed of your self!!!

They used to do that at Mount Pleasant a few years ago. Also the manager would write down the time you went on a reporting sheet (we called it the piss sheet). You weren't allowed to go for more than 10 minutes or twice a day. The piss sheets were checked and recorded by an office manager (I kid you not) and if there was found to be a 'pattern' you would be called before a manager about 3 months later to explain why you had gone to the toilet at roughly the same time for three days running ! Which of course you couldn't even remember by then. You would then be given a warning about 'abusing the priviledge of being allowed to go the toilet'!
