Check out the rules at the link and if you are due to paid print it out and take some action yourself.

Failing that, DON'T DELIVER ANY OF THE LEAFLETS!!!

I think this is the D2D issue again...
I've heard that RM have been actively selling the D2D product to the people involved,trying to get as much through as D2D as possible...you can see the sense in it from their point of view....all profit.

I think members should be very careful over the next couple of weeks with regard to D2D election material.
Just because your manager says it's D2D doesn't necessarily mean it is.
All D2D should come with a control label with delivery date,walk number and reference number and this should match the number on your D2D control sheet.

I was under the impression that candidates were all entiteld to 1 free mail shot, how would it benifit them to pay for it as D2D?

It's free to the candidate but not free to the taxpayer....someone has to pay for it.

Dedicated Election Managers

Each electoral region in the UK has a dedicated Election Manager to support you amd ensure that your mailing campaign runs as smoothly as possible. One of their key activities is to agree a date with you regarding the delivery of your campaign literature into Royal Mail. Please contact the Election Support Team on 0845 607 6424 for the contact details of your Royal Mail Election Manager.

Royal Mail "drop off" points

Candidates and political parties are responsible for ensuring that their campaign literature is presented to the correct Royal Mail office for onward delivery. Please contact the Election Support Team for details of Royal Mail "drop off" points.

Delivery Points

You can also see how many delivery points there are in your constituency or region. This will help you to work out the volume of printed election material you will need to reach potential voters in your area. This information is contained within the relevant files attached below. You will need this information to break down your mailing to Royal Mail Delivery Office level. It is essential that you discuss this with your Election Manager.

Royal Mail needs to check candidates’ campaign material to confirm that it meets with legislative guidelines.
