Big Announcement Next Week???

Was working at Teesside today and I know it's only a rumour that was circulating but there was talk of a big announcement next week. Don't know whether it's a local or national announcement but as we are scheduled to close next year maybe it's to do with that. But with all this bonus palava this week a few of us where wondering if Moya is gonna spring something else on us.......like scrapping the pay rise? Any ideas anyone?

a big announcement next week what a load.

the staff are the last to be told by mangement. i suppose sky news or bbc radio will let
us all know by monday and our union will slip on our bays a bit of paper on thursday to say
more bad news and dont go out on unoffical strike as we wont back you.also just to let you all
know another 20 mail centres to go and we have spunked your pension money up the wall.
i cannot wait for the next ballot.

It won't be bad news if we don't get a pay rise. It might just motivate our work force into supporting a 'YES' vote if we are balloted for industrial action. Believe me, if it's a 'NO' vote, that'll be it. If you think RM don't adhere to agreements very well now, wait until they have concrete evidence of a totally fragmented union membership that won't stick together even under these kind of circumstances.

For all the years i've been in the job Royal Mail always break deals made. Our union should be trying to get as many postal workers as possible to join the union, Tory scum are clearly telling RM management to break the union. It will succeed if our union don't change its strategic and leaders at the top.
