Until RML say otherwise we have to assume it will be paid. All pre agreed increases in pay no doubt would have been factored in to the valuation of RM Group.

april 5th would make sense. or the week commencing that date.

Dont spend your fiver (pro-rata of course

) all at once now. What with the increased VAT at 20% and outrageous inflation/RPI costs.

Prices up on average 7.6%, we get 1.4% to compensate.

What else would you expect from a deal of the century?

In terms of when we see it in our pay, it has to be a Friday. So that means either 1st April

or, more likely, Friday 8th April

Next week is the first week of the financial year for Royal Mail. I don't know whether that has any significance or not

first week of financial year is friday the 8th according to wages so would assume new pay rate to kick in then at the earliest

I work in the cage and I have had to do an end-of-year report for Customs and Surcharges today ready for the new financial year which starts on Monday for Royal Mail. Also the Resource Control System starts at Week 1 on Monday 28th March.

The payslip of Thursday 31st march will show it as week 52. Thursday the 7th April which will be week 1 should show the increased basic and supplement.
