VR for part timers

Im tempted to leave if the right offer comes in but i havent even heard of a part timers being given the chance.

I think it's offered on a seniority basis so whether you were FT with 20 years or PT with 20 years it should still be offered if you're the most senior. However, all the part timers I know have fewer years in than the full timers, even the ones that went part time after having a FT contract.

also to be made redundant,your position needs to be redundant.
its less likely that a PT duty would be redundant vs a FT one

Im pretty senior part time wise been here over ten years now, funny how they keep part timers seperate for a resign but when something like this they put us all together. Doesnt seem right to me

On this note, there are a couple of p/t backshift driving duties in my office that are going to get amalgamated. Think there will be one or two less driving duties. Out of all the p/t guys on these duties i'm the only one wanting to walk if i get offered VR. Would they even offer VR to any of us as i'd have thought they would have put us back on delivery.

So essentially maybe 1 p/t backshift collection driving duty to be made redundant. Would they just 'ask' us to come in the morning to do delivery or offer VR?
