well sinces its sunny i dont see why i cant protecty my eyes from damage

dont think id go for complete black outs as it may be weird for locals wen they cant see your eyes - and i would take them off when getting a signature

Please don,t tell me that there is now a problem with wearing sunglasses. I have to wear them, due to being a skin cancer sufferer. The eyes can be very prone to damage from harmful sun rays and I need to wear the ones that wrap around and cover the whole of the eye from all directions. I dont give a toss if customers cannot see my eyes. They are more important to me than them being able to eyeball me.

If anyone is questioned on it, providing they are UV filter glasses, then I'd remind them of the danger of UV radiation on the eyes and ask them that surely RM should care about people's H&S? If RM aren't happy about people wearing a wide range of different glasses, they need to supply them and either provide prescription ones/give people money towards them/provide clip on type things that won't affect the prescription sunglasses you already own.

i wear glasses....but i have them as the reactolite,,,so when i go gout the darken looking good in the summer,,,,BUT when im out posting in the winter i get funny looks especially in the snow when i knock at a door with what look like sun glasses on LOL.

wouldnt have thought even royal mail would stop you wearing a pair of sunglasses.

I know RM is a complete joke of a place to work right now - and getting worse - but is there seriously a question over whether or not you're *allowed* to wear sunglasses on delivery? It wouldn't surprise me, to be honest. I hit my head on a shop shutter not that long ago - a sunny day and I was wearing a baseball cap (wasn't my fault - it fell on me as I was leaving the premises). On recording the accident, my DOM said, "Well, you shouldn't really be wearing a cap." Funny thing is, the one I was wearing had an RM logo on it and was supplied by.....

I find looking at several hundred/thousand predominately WHITE envelopes on a sunny day can really mess your eyes up!
I do get funny looks in the shop when I try on sun glasses and pretend to be checking an envelope held in my hand. Some sunglasses have a gap at the bottom and when you look down the WHITE envelopes dazzle you. I find the tight fitting wrap around style work best. For Christ's sake don't ask RM to provide any as they'll probably end up giving us Mega Dame Edna style ones! Judging by the usual high standard of well trialled crap they usually issue us with.
