A story of revenge and coincidence

Post by sonofuberman »

Not long after i started working for Royal Mail, on a boiling hot summer day, I returned to the office in my van after delivery.
A manager came up to me and said "will you do me a massive favour and take 3 special delivery items to ******** for me? I'll give you half an hour docket for it"
So i agreed as I knew the area, and two were for the same place, a village post office.
I had alredy given my van key to an afternoon lad, so i took another van out, inside was roasting hot, so i had to open the windows a bit.
I drove to the post office, about 4 miles away, and got out with the two items. Locked up and went inside to deliver them. I was gone for about 20 seconds. On returning to the van, stood outside with his arm stretched through the window was the manager who had asked me to do this favour for him. He said "don't you realise you have just put the safety of the mail at risk? I'm gonna have to report this" to which i replied "you can't even get your arm through what you on about", and he said "yes, but a child could". Anyway, true to his word he reported my 'crime' and i had a warning. I never did him a favour again.
About 3 months later. I had just bought myself a new CD/Mini-disc player/Radio/Cassette player and i was pissing about with it to learn how to do stuff with it. One night i wanted to see if i could tape CD's, and then the radio. I put on a random station and pressed the record button. Jeremy Kyle was on doing what he used to do before his TV show taking the piss out of smackheads, it was called Jezzas confessions. Just as i pressed record, a voice said "Hello Jezza" and I nearly jumped out of the room, it was definately this same manager and obviously pissed out of his mind. In the following conversation, he descibed how he was having an affair with some "bike in work" (she was a PHG) and that his mrs had found out and what a poor life he was having now etc, etc.
Next morning I took my little walkman and everyone in the office was listening to it. On one occasion he asked "what you listening to ?" to some lad, and he replied "just one of *******songs its funny"........
Then i went to a cheeepie shop and got a pack of tapes for a quid, and recorded it, then gave em out in work (for a donation!! ) to anyone who wanted one, including out union rep. After he heard it, his exact words were "how the f**k am i expected to take this fella seriously now", and went to the DOM with it.
Anyway, within a fortnight the manager had been bombed out and went somewhere else, and within the year he had left Royal Mail.
I take the credit for it!!! :cuppa
