period of calm or just a joke.

Post by philasurus »

I have been speaking with my counterparts in our area (kent) and there is no period of calm going on here, we are all facing massive changes. Also dirty managemnt tricks including trying to sack reps and resourceing our mail centres with casuals, so no blue shirts are getting any O/T plus still trying to bring in all that they want by executive action.

I think it's time that D.W and B.H look up from the nagotiations and see whats realy going on, because R.M are not taking any notice of the so called period of calm around here.

For my mail centre Maidstone I'm now actively trying to get a rule 13 ballot on the go so it looks like we have to now take things into our own hands because nationaly there is no help coming forward.

UNITY IS STRENGTH.

it.s part of the rules of the union. it means that any unit can ask H.Q for an industrial action ballot of the affected staff within that unit. So the action is then covered under the laws of industrial action just the same as the national ballot we have had.

hope this clears it up for you and if you believe you have to do the same and apply for a rule 13 then the more the better this mite help highlight the problems we all seem to be having.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I understand simiar things are happening in Newcastle where RM are ignoring the IR framework and the O/T scenario has kicked up. My sources were on the phone to me last night about this!!! What are they (RM) playing at in these local divisions??

Same here Looks like we'll have a rule 13.

I predict that we won't get to the 4th September and talks will break down and action will restart.

If this happening everywhere perhaps each area rep could tell CWU HQ and if this is happening in the majority of areas, Dave Ward should pull out off talks and resume IA until RM abide to the conditions agreed.
