after todays news about m.c. closures, phantom shares being worthless(surprise surprise), and the announcement on radio 4 that there may be another 20-30 thousand jobs to go, does anyone think we,ll be balloted. and if so, how would you vote?

i would vote yes as the biggest problem with the agreement is that RM are not sticking to it.

what the CWU agreed was not so bad if it was executed to the letter but RM got it wrong and realised it would be too costly.

well this is my thinking. after this s**t deal was brought in i vowed i would,nt vote yes again, HOWEVER, i think you have to think which is the greater of two evils. and rm most certainly IS the greater evil. i would vote yes.

Get a grip, no chance. I really hope they don't ballot us because it would be a no vote and I think that would weaken the union just enough for a quicker privatisation.

No...they won't ballot for strike action.Not nationally anyway.
Not unless Royal Mail really turn the screw...which they might if they think the opposition are weak pussies.

London will ballot we have no choice either accept complusory redunancies or fight.

Now in terms of the wider ballot well if the rest of the union allows complusory reduncancies to happen then thats really is the end of the union as it will occur elsewhere.

There are a lot of other issues which are things which may lead to a ballot but the national briefing will flush out if there is still fight within the union.

I realise that many on here are saying they are not going to support a further ballot but I always see three groups of members those who would vote yes all day long to fight those who will vote no because they believe they were sold out and will be happy to get stiched up by the employer everytime just as long as they get stick two fingers up at the union and then the majority which are between those two groups and my experience if the issues are serious enough and are explained in the right way then yes we will get their support. Thats not taking that for granted but if you cant get support for a fight against complusory reduancies and the other issues which threaten postal workers than you might as well roll over and allow Royal Mail to destroy us.

No one likes striking as it hurts but it hurts far more if you simply stand by and allow Royal Mail to break agreements which includes pensions , mtsf and complusory redundancies .
