should we as a union not be asking our hq to defend our terms and conditions as per agreement if not we should be re-balloted on terms of agreement being broken and to force rm to adhere to policy they agreed to

Agree with this.
Since we went thru the revision we have been left high and dry by the union.
it just seems that managers pick the bits of the agreement that suit them and ignore the rest.
Bullying has never been worse.
Every day when you go into work you are thinking "what will they throw at us today"

Always been a staunch union supporter but no longer believe this is reciprocated by my union.

Has anyone else been told of the march in London a week on Saturday? Union asking for support in an anti cuts/anti privitisation protest. Im against the cuts etc but i cant stand with Hayes and Ward im afraid.

If we are not happy why don't go you go to the rally calling for Hayes and Ward to go. We should ask for a vote of no confidence. Its not just them its a terminal thing at the top of our useless union.

The union calls for our support at these arranged protests and marches and gives a time of 10.00a.m. in the morning on a Sat, when they have made an agreement to make us work until 2.30p.m. in the afternoon! Priceless.

You don't have to support the CWU on the march as they will be only a small part of the march itself. Rumours I have heard is that they are expecting between 100,000 and 250,000 so there will be plenty of other activists groups that will have a presence check out the main site at

This is a TUC backed demo the CWU had no input AFAIK on timings etc so in all fairness cant blame them for this one.

But to have anti privatisation or CWU arranged demos on Saturdays around 12:00 to 2:00 like recently is certainly self defeating.

you the members are the union and its your subs that pay the people that run your union so if your not happy with them stop paying their bloody wages and join another union that will truly represent you.
