Hi Mailman, and welcome aboard. We had ours about 6 months ago. The results were so damning of the DOM that HR came down to find out why. So everyone aired their views (mine to be fair were relativeky positive as I was quite new and had so far been treated pretty well) and the HR people said they would take all that was said on-board and arrange a feedback session.

Then about a month ago word got round the office that HR were upstairs in the canteen waiting for us to attend the feedback session. Trouble is that the DOM 'forgot' to tell us they were coming. The drivers were all out doing packets and of the remaining staff about 5 managed to find time to get up there before they left.

Shambles.

Its normally once a year for us. Although we did bury a DOM around 7 years back and after that we had quite a few for a while. Always get some fruity comments which go on the notice board

We had them a while back and our DOM insisted we hand them completed back to him, we refused on the grounds that they are supplied with their own return envelope... funny he didn't kick up a fuss!! probably because he hadn't a leg to stand on.

My office doesn't fill them in anymore, we got the head boys down from headquarters to ask us to fill them in but we just didn't, now we just don't get them anymore (I personally think they take them and fill them in themselves to make the office look better than the shambles it actually is).

can't remember the last time i filled in a HYS survery, do remember taking it out of the envelope and putting the form straight back in the return envelope......they never take any notice of what you have to say.

I remember a few years back the gaffer was handing out the HYS forms to a few 'select' members of staff, a couple of days later and I asked when did the rest of us get a form? We didn't he said as it was a 'partial office survey' and that they only needed a 'sample' Funny thing is that when the results came out the office had a 100% return and a glowing report!
Now I wouldn't want to suggest that the manager and his select cronies filled them all in themselves but lets face it they did!!

so you are happy for someone else to do this and make your office look good are you.i fill them in every chance i get as you are allowed 20 minutes to do this and if you don't and someone else does then the results are flawed.
