Will try and cut a long story short, My wife is disabled and my son has epilepsy Wednesday of last week her consultant phoned and asked if she could go in for surgery of which she couldn't turn down. I spoke to my manager on the Thursday and informed him that I need to be at home for the remainder of the week and also the week after as far as I was aware from the conversation I had with him I was taking the Thursday to Sunday as paid special leave and this week as a weeks holiday. As its turned out my son was rushed into hospital as well with his epilepsy. Recevied my wage slip this afternoon to find I had been paid nothing. Can they do this without any warning? No joke when I say we will have no food/gas/electric (on meters) Really could do with some help on this matter before I call them tomorrow, wages dept have been no use at all. Again I was not told I wouldn't be paid.

Thanks Fish,haven't got that far yet.
I would of thought the manager's messed up somewhere and contacting the office is your best bet as HR won't know the full details.

Sorry for not making much sense with the post had to cut the last one short, but thank you for replying I really appreciate it. Going to have to leave wife and little one tommorrow with the neighbour to go and try sort out. HR was babbling on about me owing 2 days pay?? Not blumming likley since pay is the same every week

If the manager has made a mistake then he can arrange either an urgent bank transfer or a giro(Yes honest lol) to come the next day.
