We are getting loads of premature census returns because a lot of the public are not noticing that the forms should not be filled in until 27th March. We have filled up a few perstops with the ones we have managed to intercept but I know that a fair few have gone straight to the mail centre following the lunchtime collections today. Anyone else getting this or is it just this area where the residents are a bit thick?

I've filled mine in because I know nothing is going to change between now and the 27th. I'm not thick...

Besides, I'll only forget to send it back if I don't send it off soon so I'd rather be considered thick than potentially get a fine for not sending it back.

Census day is Sunday 27 March. Your answers should be about your household on this day. Please submit or return your completed questionnaire before, on or after this date

Begs the question why the hell were most of us instructed to deliver all by the end of today's shift, I loved having an extra 90Kg of mail to deliver (as the cencus database decided that most shops on my walk have staff that are bound to sleep over on the 27th, so I was not just delivering to residential addresses), 18-20 days ahead of the cencus day!

I cannot wait until tomorrow to see how lumpy it is, due to all the mailsort and alike that was held back these last three days, to make this "urgent delivery" possible.

... And then I will laugh when my lino asks me to help out on o/t!

Think its you that is the thick one because you can fill your census online which is easier anyway. Now if they never wanted you to fill in till 27th March this site won't be open.

Up the Creek (Whats new they are already there) i have filled mine in and i have told my wife if i am not hear ask for a new one and i will do the same for her if we are not both here who cares a toss

On Monday had so many Census letters that I had to use a post box as a bag drop. Had to go and re-fill within half an hour of posting the first Census letter through the door and to my disbelief I found 3 had been completed and posted back! Also got people asking me where there Census was and more than a few running after me saying "Occupier he not live here". Had a couple come back with "Unknown" written on them.

When should I fill in the questionnaire

You can complete your questionnaire as soon as you receive it. But make sure your answers are about Sunday 27 March, because this is census day.

During the last census in 2001 over 6% didn't even fill them in.
That is 1,500,000 households who couldn't be arsed.
These were filled in by "census people" using average answers.
Lies,damm lies and Government statistics.
