holiday while on sick leave

Hi all
i have been on sick leave for 4 weeks with stress but have a holiday booked at the end of the month for 5 weeks can i still be on sick leave and go on holiday. will i have to inform the manager that i will be away ?

if you are sick for a long period and your leave is in this period of sick as long as you ring your o/c
you will still get your leave back that you are entitled to.
remember you book your leave well inadvance so you dont know if you are sick while on leave.

but make sure you ring your office manager and explain about your leave.

Go to doctors, and get him to state going on holiday will be benificial to your recovery.
Then inform your Dom of you going on holiday and your GP advice.

Since the ECJ ruling in Stringer and HRMC your employer cannot refuse to let you take annual leave whilst off work on certified sickness unless your contract specifically says so
