I personally quite like to see a manager actually doing some hard work for a change! Sure there probably is some kind of rule for how much they are allowed to do but is it really worth picking a fight with management over something that doesnt really effect you too much? not saying your wrong or anything but is it really worth the hassle?

That's fine unless it's your work he's doing and your job he's undermining.

Any manager doing a postmans job is basicly doing hours that a postie should be doing, it is a way of saving hours E.G mangers do 4 hours work in an 8 hour shift 4 hours overtime saved. It affects everyone they are taking money out of peoples pockets, someone on a 25 hour contract with a family to feed could do with that extra 4 hour on there pay slip. Ive been told if they cant get anyone for the over time they are alowed 10 min an hour doing postie work, dont know how true that is.

Sorry if thats the case. In our DO managers only do postmans work when no one else will take it out so no one really loses out.... Just ment you can easily find your self messed around for 'operational needs' for kicking up a fuss! doesnt sound like a battle you could win very easily to me.... As i said iam not condoning it!
