Received monthly bulletin today from Linos stating that part of the bonus payment will be subject to us agreeing later start times. If our finish time is now 2.45pm and last letter according to USO in urbans is 3.00pm am I right in saying that they only have 15 minutes for manouvre?

Be aware agreement actually states last letter should be 3pm for majority! Not for every walk and also USO only states one delivery per day, there is no actual time afixed to it

I think what your referring to zx135 is duty finish time, 3PM last letter urban no ifs no buts any after that is officialy late.

Here in Guildford we're now 6.30 start but DOM is forever threatening 8am to 4pm working hours, Monday to Saturday. I think they make it up as they like.

Do RM need to give notice of a change of hours. We were told that on the following Saturday the start times would move 30 mins later. Only 7 days notice of the change. Is this right or RM just doing as they please?

The way out is that it was not planned for mail to be delivered at 6.45 or after 3pm or 4pm.
Duties cannot or should not be planned to have a last letter past 3 or 4, but if it does happen due to high sickness levels in a office or vehicle breakdows to name just a couple of examples, then no RM are not breaking any law or agreement.

Think your self lucky sloggy out in a sub office of guildford. we got put back an hour then two hours on Saturday and looks like we will be moving back again as the managers (waist of time and money.) say that they can not get the mail out to us. which is total bullsh*t as that was the excuse they used to put us back to seven in the first place.

if you lot in guildford got your fingers out and stood up to the managers and the union rep. Guildford would be in a better place then it is now.

Should be 28 days notice.

Why would they get fined? Its not in the USO, all that's in the USO is one deliver per day there is NO time stipulation
