Many, many of us will empathise with you, bedrock. The job is totally shyte now, utterly and completely shyte, so shyte I could cry when I think of the cracking job it was and not that long ago too. CWU, bunch of useless feckin' shytes, and no mistake.

well look at it this way it can not get much worse now as there is not much more on delivery you can do now as you are to your time most days now that park and loop is here.
im coming to the end of my week off, enjoyed every minute staying at home with my two year old daughter that im very highly considering jacking the job in to becoming a full time house husband. I dont want to go back monday, census worries and its always a mess on my frame when i go back. I hate what the job has become although i do love it when i interact with the great people on my round that truly appreciate my efforts unlike management.
I also found the time to quit the union this week which was probably the best thing to do seeing as they are as much of a shambles as royal mail.
From next wenesday I am off for a fortnight and with all them bank holidays coming up, some well earned rest and time to give the feet a good soaking. This last two days have been horrendous. 5 D2Ds, approx 50 attended packets per day, nearly every house getting water bill and now Live Screening sending out to most houses. On top of that a shedload of flats and they expect you to finish on time. Only wish I had booked off from Monday as I am going to be lumbered with the Census crap and no doubt they havent, had the sense to stop the D2D contracts next week.
Sense to stop D2D's cos of census forms, you must be joking, our frames were stacked high on our return today.
having to go in tomorrow on day off to book todays o/t cos they have hidden the docket sheet again, if I wait till next week it will never be paid, unacceptable,
will have to start cutting off but could do with the o/t
i feel for dly postmans heavy workload, but on distribution we take our breaks,and when 8 hours is up we go home. simple as that. whatever work is left. until dly staff take on this way of working nothing will change

but sadly a lot of our colleagues can't see beyond the first
