Contract advice please

A few part timers have been offered 6 month full time contracts.

1. Do they get the full timers delivery payment for d2d............£21 for full timers?

2. Do they get the full bonuses due or will they get this pro rata? even though they will be working 40 hours.

the question i would be asking is as they are voluntarily moving from a perm part time contract to a fixed term temporary contract what happens at the end of the six months and is there anything in writing to support this, ie end of six months the dom comes round and says sorry we dont need to anymore tata no job

1 Yes as long as their contract hours are actually changed and just not getting paid 40 hours whilst on a 24 hour contract for six months

2 thats a difficult one to actually answer it will vary from bonus to bonus as some of the extra payments we have recieved have been based on the average hours we have worked for the year not what we were actually on contract for and some payments arnt

be very careful with this, if its a 6 month contract you may be out of contract once the 6 month period has ended

dont sign anything until you have read the contact, the CWU has read the contract, the CAB has read the contract, your granny has read the contract ect.

Why don't RM just leave them on a 3 month renewable contract? Seems like a lot of paperwork to end up with the same result. SIX months FULL-TIME seems to be a contradiction in terms. It's not as if we're highly paid consultants that just drop in solve a problem and bugger off!

it doesnt matter if its temp or perm its the same rights. at the end of 6 months you will move back down unless the dom wants you kept on. ive been on a temp contract and so far its lasted 1 year. mine just keeps rolling on. as for bonus's you will get pro rata if your not full time. if your on a 20 hr contract and your working 40 hrs thats different cause it class's as overtime. being on a contract solves that problem so youl get the full whack
