Hi recently had a RTA in the works van and theres a claim for my injuries going in but i need the details of royal mails insurance? or someone to contact regarding this,.
ts the third partys fault so not claiming from royal mial... any one know anyhting? cheers!

AFAIK Royal Mail do not have insurance they have a bond which is basically a pile of money that they pay out from when accidents happen (All perfectly legal BTW). Contact HR (No on back of pay chits) and they should be able to advise you what to put down.

Royal Mail's insurers were AIG...i don't know if they still are.

I heard RM had no insurance as such ,rather that they self insured to save cash

There is an insurance certificate on a wall at my DO and it's in date,it's a yearly thing,not sure but it may be law to have to have it on shown.

The vehicles are covered by a Bond, but RM also have liability insurance (for AODs, etc.), which is provided by an insurance company.

i had my accident on delivery 2 years ago and still wating for my payment union said you get payed out of a pot royal mail has dont no if that is true tho or if there just taking the piss out ov me all i do no is my leg is f****d

So so far nobody knows who RM's independent insurers are right now? Well it makes sense if you own a massive ESCROW pot, that you can save money by self insuring. Not much point giving cash away to third party profiteers if you can cover your own risks Bye

any motor claim etc gets taken out of this bond for which royal mail top up each year.
its the only way to do fleet insurance on such a scale
this bond at last count was 50 million quid
royal mail have a public liability insurance
the cover note needs to be on display in your office so if not, demand to see it
ITS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO BE ON FULL DISPLAY
