This might have been covered before but whats the score in your office when delivering to flats with lifts that are not working?
How many flights of stairs should/do you walk up?
5 seems to be the number at our place,but we had a postie the other day who walked up to the 17th floor with a reg as the lift was out.

before you go up more than 5 flights of 13 steps your manager should refer you to ATOS so they can do a risk assesment

A recent temp manager said it was the number of floors in the tower block + 1 I kid you not! After we did some haggling with the Union rep it was cut down to 4 but as there was an SD on 5 so I did 5.

There is no specific limit on floors it goes on what weight you are carrying, I think its 5 kilos the limit other than that break your bag down. But as usual R.M don't give a toss as long as the walk is covered. You can argue till your blue in the face with the R.M and Union health and safety but you won't get anywhere. My tip is don't go over and that's the part you leave in if you can't finish. Let the DOMs do that bit.

Been told sidewinder means nothing. If you get it in writing then that's different. One guy in my office climbs 5 flights in four different entrances. That's 20 floors. He is so pissed off he has give up arguing
