best way of gettinga transfer?
I applied for a transfer nearly 3 months ago now and am still waiting. Apparently the office I want atransfer to need me but my DOM hasnt heard anything!? Any ideas?

i waited a year and got no joy so i left, 10 months later go a p/t job in the office i wanted, then made up to full time.
tried meeting with the DOM, got a letter from my line manager singing my praises but could not get a transfer, been here for 10 years now and no one has ever transferred in

You've answered your own question CD. The DO you want to move to needs you-but your DIM hasn't heard anything. Is your office short of staff? If so your DIM is not going to let you go and leave himself short. 
Don't believe your DIM, it's easy to say, "I haven't heard anything!" get your "New" DIM to put a bit of pressure on, he's the guy that needs you, you'll probably get more joy that way. Good Luck Mate.
