"Triple Prepping" anyone ...

... appears the FTers at our place will be doing this from Monday ... and us PTers who used to get 1hr 15mins OT when asked to do prepping will now get 1hr 0mins ...

Also - new start times (leaving DO etc.) began this week - but the "promised" £200 (or pro-rata equivalent) did not appear in wage packets this week ...

Is my "bullshit utopia" (as someone so eloquently put it ) losing its gloss ?

yes it were f/t preps in 2 dutys p/t comes in to just take mail out but it never happens that way give it a week and you will get your o/t back

full timers cant even prep 2 frames let alone 3 .as a part timer .i walk into piles of mail nearly every day ...would love to just bag and go ..

Full timers can't be arsed to prep 2 frames is usually more the truth of it. I got in yesterday and found three mech bundles on my fitting. Needless to say I had a hissy fit. I was able to find out that the guy who had been prepping it had done most of it by 7.20am but had then slipped off to finish his own walk, bag up, in order to get out of the office before 9am. I was still prepping at 10am when it could and SHOULD have been done by this lazy bastard.

No, I had to book time to finish. I don't mind doing o/t on my own walk but that doesn't change the fact that it shouldn't be happening. I've made it clear to the management that I won't be booking o/t to cover for their failures again.

In the "reason for overtime" column do not put "extended delivery"... put "extended indoor prep".
It makes it awkward for your manager to explain away.

in our from monday partimers who come in to put there frame up will get 1 hour 15 minutes but they also have to make up the d2ds and put them into the frame,next week most frames will have 6 d2ds next week,
