aggregate system

Hi All,

Has anyone got any explanation of how an aggregate system for overtime would work?

We are having major problems from a DOM not allocating overtime fairly and would like to offer up this type of system. But our DOM isn't the sharpest and i would like to give him a good explanation of how such a system would work.

everyones name would be on the left hand collumn, then the top collumn would be the "weeks"; then the hours for each week get put underneath. on the far right hand side the total is wrote in pencil so it can be updated etc . for this to be done, i guess would need to use dockets which are filled properly.

What would happen if anyone turned down an overtime or did not turn up to do the overtime? Some of the guys who do a lot of overtime in our office, are concerned that people could pick only to do the 'good' overtimes. For example tuesday deliveries.

if you are down to do the o/t then the time goes against you.as for people picking the good o/t thats the way it goes with that system. but how are you geting o/t on a tuesday we never get that

Overtime is CWU business,why is your rep or someone in a blue shirt not in charge of it?

I dont think the overtime in many offices are controlled by 'blue shirts' now Postman?!
None in our area.

And that's why there are problems Shrimp,it's not perfect in places but a lot better.

we just started aggregate system as over xmas there were many complaints about the allocation of overtime. DOM has control over it at the moment, but I monitor in SI meetings.
