We've had a steady flow although last week we only had 1...........3, 4 or 5 for the previous few weeks and 3 this week so no, not the same here.

We do however have Nescafe sachets this week, f***in pain in the ass, nearly as wide as 1 slot on frame so if they're all in it's a squeeze getting any other mail in, saying that it's so light at the moment it doesn't really matter ;)

so whats happening with them now, as before the agreement we always had 3 every week , as soon as the agreement started the full five every week , then six , now all of a sudden they have dropped down to 1 ,2 or 3 with a lot of our depot getting none for the last 3 weeks ,this has never happened in all the years i have worked for royal mail , so has the d2d bubble peaked and burst , i am certainly not complaining ,

is this happening anyware else ???

I can say pretty much my whole time at RM I've had 2 or 3 d2d each week. The new agreement comes in and it falls 1 then none for about 4 weeks then 2.... did RM screw-up on this?????

I've never had more than 4 on the walk I'm on at present. It seems to be all the rurals in our office that get battered on this.

6 this week including coffee sachets and that insuarance book shaped like a thick cheque ,yeah thatl take the 10 minutes they say it takes to prep em ,,not! a lot of guys get 4 5 or six every week while half the office never get more than 3! Surely if were not getting folders to put them in as agreed then we can say f off?? Half the office take em home as there struggling ,erm sackable offence yeah?

We deal with two postcode areas in our DO,the main one each walk has had 2 D2D's this week whilst the other has 5 D2D'S this week and guess which one I'm on this week.

Never used to be like this? I wonder if RM did anything with the cost/price of d2d as it all went dead for me once it got rolled into workload.

I'd like to dispute the notion that poor areas get none and affluent areas get loads - in my office, the walks that are in the poorest area of this particular place are hammered with 5 d2d regularly, and the more affluent areas of the office have 1 or 2.

Also, my other annoyance is that D2D are supposed to be targeted, so why then have I been delivering leaflets for something that has been closed for well over a year now and another business that went belly up within the last 6 months. Don't get me started on the City Car leaflets - an area where more people are on benefits than in work, do you really think they'll pay to borrow a car? nope - it'd be far easier to 'borrow' on by knocking out a window and driving it away.

so good I said it twice - stand corrected people - it's not just rich areas that get loads of D2D - the place that was decribed as the biggest sh@thole in this particular city I happen to work in, it is regularly hammered with 4/5 d2d. The area just up the road which is far nicer gets just 1/2.

True. Split postcode office, one side rather rich the other council chav city and the d2ds traffic tendedto be around 4/5 to 1/2. So I would say it's true. I stand to be corrected.

I don't think a lot of thought goes into the way they target customers because recently I did a rural round where one of the D2D's was from British Gas trying to sell Natural Gas Central Heating etc trouble is they are no gas pipelines in the vicinity other than a national transmission main.I should know,I used to work for British Gas.

BUT the strange this is that D2D USED to be so uniform within our office with everyone getting 2/3 a week every week. It really does now APPEAR that the walks in the nicer (Its relative I assure you!) parts do get more D2D week in week out. Whereas the estates get virtually nothing.
