why dont we refuse to talk to atos

im not one for having time of sick so why should i be rung up by atos for having two days off sick can anyone offer legal advice on this ?

dont get me started on f####### atos 4 phone calls to face to face with doctor in four months and now got told i have to go though it again it like they keep sending you till they get the answer they want i just wish i new what the f#### it was

If they don't have your number, they'll send you a letter (they're supposed to send you one before a phone consultation anyway!) requesting a phone consultation. But if you refuse it, it'll be used against you by your Manager, when you return to work. The old "why didn't you want to talk to ATOS, were you faking it" comment!

Yep. That's what happens even though I was in hospital fir 4 weeks and had the relevant paperwork to prove it, my dim still told me I was faking it and I've cost the firm a lot of money in sick pay etc and why wasn't I in when atos rang ...

So i take they will still contact you if you've got a broken leg. I'm going to assume yes, and their reply.....get back to work, i'm sure you could manage halve a walk and don't forget your lapsing .

Are there any agreement/guideance on what atos can and can't do , and how long before they can contact you and how often??

Got a feeling if you don't agree to seeing ATOS they will use it against you, RM will say that they offered you help and support of ATOS and you turned it down . Thats why i'm asking is there any official guidance on what can and can't be done regarding ATOS??

In a funny way we used to look upon EHS as our friend but ATOS have changed that.
It used to be that YOU could choose between a face to face or telephone but now you will first be telephoned to set up an appointment for a follow up call to discuss your problems over the phone, it will then be decided whether you warrant a face to face appointment.
The Union(in general) don't believe that ATOS are the problem,they see it as an employer driven problem.
As far as agreements to protect you i think the Rehabilitation Agreement is still valid.
