FAVOURITSM
Whats the best avenue to go down regarding someone getting favouritsm all the time? No point in complaining in house though.

Re: FAVOURITSM
It has to be concrete, something you can measure like overtime.
Better duties or easier jobs wont wash as they are too vague.
Anything that is "at the managers discretion" is pretty pointless as well.

Isn't that what the grievance procedure is for?

There is a couple in our office that work their day off every week without fail, long standing joke! Although it's not a joke as ot should be shared equally!

Re: FAVOURITSM
I think where ever you go there will always be favouritsm within companies. There will always be teachers pets so unless you blatant concrete grounds for complaint then theres not a great deal you can do apart from pucker up and kiss some as* as well!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: FAVOURITSM
We have an issue in our office where someone is being treated as a favourite by the management. This has meant that people have lost their duties, and been moved around constantly to accommodate this person. This person is also cuts corners, rushes, and does not generally do the job properly. Numerous people have complained to the Union and the Union have brought the issues to the management but it's got to a point now that the Union has been told if they bring any more cases regarding this person then RM will be putting in a harrassment case against the Union. So now the reps have backed off completely and this person is still getting preferential treatment.enzio wrote:can you not talk to your rep about it? and what do you mean by favouritsm ? eg are they geting better dutys then you our more saturdays off

Re: FAVOURITSM
why have they lost there dutys if you hold a duty there has to be a reason why you re being moved.if it about o/t then againg keep a note of when he gets it on who else wanted because if you can prove that me is get more o/t then the rest of the office ask you rep to get o/t book going that way its done on how many hours you have done this can be run year by year or month by month.allso if me is not doing the job properly likr not doing the packets keep note and go to your line manger and ask why he has left items? but dont give in on this go to you area rep once you got proof of thisMisterPostie wrote:We have an issue in our office where someone is being treated as a favourite by the management.
