Did you know about these:

RM can requisition ships to carry mail....can also apply a Compulsory Purchase Order to a property if its needed for the USO.

Any other strange ones?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

What about parking on Double Yellow Lines to Deliver and not having to wear seat belts (for a certain distance)? Urban Myth or not? :hmmmm

We had a long running dispute with traffic wardens many years ago. Initially the union were paying the fine (i know, hard to believe aint it), and when they'd had enough of that, and we'd threatened to stop collections from the Post Box, Royal Mail moved the fecking thing .... simple :wink:

Anybody can park on a double yellow...as long as they are either loading or collecting.
Double yellows are a parking restriction...if you park up and leave the vehicle you get a ticket.
