Wanting a transfer to the Kendal area what are my chances!

My other half has got herself her dream job in Kendal and looks as though I will be in need of a transfer,what are my chances and a relevent info on who best to talk to.

How far is the move for you? We have a guy commuting quite a distance every day and RM seem to think thats O.K!

I,m in the WS area so a fair distance and only a vw camper van to get me about :shock:

Seriously though I've not know ANYONE actually get a transfer for a good few years.... RM just doesn't seem interested in doing them.... sorry! :arrrghhh and good luck Kendal is a beautiful part of the UK.

We have had 4 transfers in the last 6 months mainly from the surrounding towns so they do happen, willing to go part time :nana :nana

lad left our office in jan but it was reduced hours and from what i have heared since his move his new contract was far less appealing too :shock:

If it was reduced hours or nothing then thats no choice at all especially if the individual had a pressing reason to transfer... again its and interesting legal point me thinks!

it was a move north of the border, his wife had a megabucks job offer so they were gone in about 6 weeks.
i wish her indoors could get a megabucks offer :chuckle

Just go there and chat with local office to see what out there. Then arrange a transfer with them for this job. Cut out the middlemen.

doesn't change the fact that you current manager has to 'release' you for you to take up this new position. Have known it that a manager has taken so long that the offered position has had to be filled by somebody else.
