Yes,one you've gone through your revisions.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

it is it - Page 23 of the BT2010 agreement.
All delivery revisions will be planned on the basis of no use of private cars. Private cars on delivery will cease upon the deployment of a Delivery Methods revision in a unit.

It may not stop it - but it will give the managers an avenue to sack anyne using PCODs if they want to.

Umm did you miss the last line of my post I agree it wont stop it but when the bond is removed you won't have insurance even if you have business use or courier entitlement, why because the Business has said its against your contract and that invalidates any insurance you may have. Why because you have gone against legitimate instructions outside of your contract, and that in itself is enough to make any insurance worthless.

That means that RM can sack you for 2 reasons, not following your contract and not having the correct insurance.

Do you think Royal Mail will continue to pay for a very expensive insurance bond when the majority of duties will use a van?
No insurance bond...No private cars on delivery....it's just economics,you have to evolve calpsy,you're a dinosaur,a relic from the past,evolution or...extinction...your choice.

We stopped it in our office when we did the P&L revision, if the reps are strong enough it can be done, it's about the only good thing to come out of the BT2010
