3pm finishes???

The agreement clearly says "The vast majority of letter deliveries are planned to be completed by 1430 hours and most by 1400 hours."

So why they bleating on about 3pm finish times.

NONE of our office wants a 3pm finish time and we will fight to the death if need be.

Its is after all in the agreement we can finish at 2 or 2.30.

eb is right mclovin.
The agreement didn't say you would be finished by 2pm or 2.30pm...just that letter deliveries would.
Doesn't mention packets or travelling back or anything else.
Just a sneaky use of words...especially "majority" :left:

Letters/packets/flats, its all the same.

2pm finish end of chat. In the spirit of the agreement thats what we want, and what we will be telling our area rep we want.

How he gets it? I dont give a flying frogs arse, it'll go to disagreement until its done.

The new workplan standardises service delivery times Monday to Saturday. Letter delivery completion times will be up to 1500 hours for residential areas and up to 1600 hours for rural. The vast majority of letter deliveries are planned to be completed by 1430 hours and most by 1400 hours.
Are Royal Mail obliged to adhere to this?

Part of our new Park and Loop system includes residential areas not getting their mail until after 4pm. :crazy:

Did Royal Mail ever adhere to the last letter times?
If they had there would never have been 4 day weeks when the last letter for towns was supposed to be 2pm. :neutral:

You know what,the fecking trouble we had with this s**t.
RM make the rules up when it suits them.

We was always told that 'duty last letter times' were not to be made up to be after the cut off times,member 34,your ADR should be on this like a flash!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
