Crewe sackings
Heard a postie has been sacked for bringing mail back from his delivery as he couldn't complete, this is apparently now under appeal, any truth in this ? If I was a Crewe rep I would be balloting for industrial action and walk out by now.

Well they can't just be sacked,they would have to be suspended 1st then go through the conduct code.That takes time.

I know of one postman who has been sacked at Crewe .the reason I belive was for leaving mail in his frame and not telling a manager.
This when the office was in a mess from the P&L revision......

I know for a fact that in Crewe they are suspending people if they are unable to complete their deliveries.
They want them all to do 2 hours overtime every day so the job gets done,The poor people who need to finish on time and bring mail back are being suspended.
Also 2 months ago a young girl who was being pressured into completing the job every day,Finishing at 6pm etc slit her own wrists,She never died thankfully,Her parents were speaking to solicitors regarding Royal mail,Not sure what is happening regarding that.
Crewe is in a mess,The managers dont need sacking,They need putting in stocks and stoning.

Around xmas ,Their were over 30 posties of sick . Would'nt you think that would have wrung a few alarm bells at a higher level..
Then again probably quite happy to get the numbers down and bring in part timers......

i sincerely hope this is just hear say, but if it is true then then along with everything else going on in crewe the CWU should have had as many members at the gate as possible.
there are employment laws within both the UK and EU that are supposed to protect.

A couple of days before this ,the DOM swopped her onto a walk she had not done before and put the postie off that walk onto hers ,and he had never done that one.
