Changing start times

Have the cwu got a criteria for how much notice RM should give before a change in starting times? Got alot of people with kids and the rumour is they may say tomorrow that as from monday everyone starts 45 minutes later. Luckily my kids are grown up enough to look after themselves but surely 3 days notice isnt enough.

I've had that problem but luckily the DOM was ok about giving a bit of notice for people who needed it.
It's a bit off that they can just dictate how you live revolves around work. Not only that but with childcare costs I lose about 12% on basic for every hour they put me back.

have you had a revison? because if not then i think they have to give 30 days notice.

Had no revision yet but are getting walk sequenced mail which i think is the main reason for change in time as walk sequenced mail is coming in a bit later.

has anyone done the family friendly thing and taken it all the way to acas if needed what was the out come more people should try this an let them no we will not keep changing our hours when royal mail want

Apparently all the offices in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales are in the minority of the workforce and thus their start times will be later than 7.00 am.
Yet again great wording in the agreement and even better interpatation by RM.
