our rep told us yesterday that p&l in our depot has been cancelled. not been told why just that we are to carry on doing the job as normal.

our rep told us today to ignore the rumours that p@l has been cancelled, rm have spent too much money on it now for them not to bring it in and it is coming to a do near you soon

We should have been getting a p+l revision in April. Informed at wtl that this will not happen until next year now because of problems at offices that have already had theirs. RM are short of money and need to make savings asap, we will now get a table top revision. Some walks will be cut but DOM says there will not be any need for a re-pick.

Wish they would make a bloody decision whats happening we have a car park full of 40+ brand new vans sat doing nothing since november absolute joke,perhaps all who came up with the idea have gone and nobody knows what to do crazy..

I doubt much will happen with P&L until we are privatised. Too much risk of it being a failure or a success and neither of those are good options if you want to sell the business.

Persil did you have P & L up and running? Or have they just canceled the start date? Most offices seem to have the date moved again and again. I believe our P & L "could" work if enough hours were allowed. This is our sticking point. Credit to the Rep he's pushing to get a fair deal (and he's got most of the office's support).
Nearby offices "appear" to have just grabbed the money, gone with the first Revision and now they're struggling!
Recent interview on the radio said 10% of offices were using the new system, and suffering "Teething Problems". Doesn't sound like a success to me.

As the agreement has other incentives i.e 39 hour week and i'm sure they is many others, introducing P and l next year is no good. The agreement end in 2013 if i'm correct. The union should be pressing them to introduce this year, its up to RM to make it work, sensible walks in all. If they can't make it work the union should be having the agreement ripped up with possible strike action taking place(last resort). The end of the day the agreement has been made and is a legal document signed by both rm and cwu.

The park and loop is in dispute due to welfare breaks,the planners in thier wisdom have made no provisions within the dutie span for anyone to use a Loo so all revision work is at a stop.
Does anyone know of an office that has park and loop that works and what are they doing about comfort breaks?

i heard that they are changing the week the use to measure you work load to a busy week as they were coming in over there time on most dutys

Is this the thing where 2 men get a van and do 2 walks, oversized packets and specials? The big offices in our area started doing this they are not doing it any more because it didnt work so has been taken out. That is my understanding. There are lots of little vans parked all over the place, must have cost alot so i can see it coming back in.
