hiding overtime docket!!!!

I make a prediction for pressure overtime, when I get back docket is nowhere to be found, day off tomorrow can't fill it in in the morning, why do they do it?

yeah your'e probably right but could do with the cash at the minute, play by their rules and still get shafted, it's so frustrating!!

i always write my hours down in my diary when i get home,if i am short on payday take my diary in as proof of hours worked done this for 15 years,managers fiddle staff who dont keep a record of there overtime

I always make a note of my o/t , and always get paid for it , after all that is why we do it , but it is so annoying having to chase it up, when you have predicted it beforehand the docket should be avaliable for when you have finished ,no question!

Agree with comeracing always make a note of your OT. They try to muck you around when you do keep an eye on it, imagine how much money they make out of those who don't!
Must just be another tip given to them on their DIM training course. 100 ways to keep the office budget down.

Very annoying this aspect of working for RM, shortly after Xmas our DO management started first locking the sheets away in a drawer on return from O/T (as no management present in mid-afternoon ), meaning having to chase up the next day and then in the last two weeks the office door has been locked so can't even enter. Obviously the office had been turned upside down to try and find the sheets by marauding postal workers simply looking to book their hard-earned, so the second step was taken!

There is an issue of trust and organisation here, clearly bosses believe we are on the fiddle (and/or are hoping we forget to see them about O/T?). And if you leave the sheets to them to fill in on a verbal say so they end up incorrectly done, I am currently owed 8+ hrs O/T which I have been promised for weeks will be sorted, waiting for this week's slip to see, again.

If they don't believe us why don't they come and check what we're up to? The only way of proving it. Very rare this happens though, yet they are not around in the p.m's very often to check anyway - gone home presumably.

I rely on O/T to get any kind of a wage as P/T 20hr pauper of 18 months service, yet this crucial part of the job to me they have started to cock up.

Book 10 minutes on the O/T form `chasing unpaid overtime` and see what happens - be sure to go home 10 minutes late though!

It can be a bloody nightmare making sure you get O/T paid correctly on a weekly basis even when you do make a note of it. Imagine the s**t storm if we ever go over to monthly pay!!!
