This is what RM cite when they refuse to deal with a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (not that I'm saying they refuse all requests )
The appropriate limit for Royal Mail Group is set at £450. This represents the estimated
cost of one person spending 18 hours in determining whether we hold the information, and
in locating, retrieving and extracting the information. There are nearly 1400 Delivery
Offices across the UK and it would clearly therefore exceed the limit to search for any
information relevant to this request. Consequently, Royal Mail Group is not obliged by the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 to respond to this part of the request (see section 12(1)
of the Act).
If Royal Mail is sold I dont think the company will come under FOI - as it will no longer be a public organisation, but I did hear the govt want to see the law changed so that public entities whether private/public still need to respond to requests.
Ive done a couple of FOI requests to Royal Mail and both were replied way outside the timeframe.

different offices different situations - ours keep getting extra work as even though they have trackers some of them keep coming back early.

Mate i am in a world of working a 5 hr delivery finishing on my time and extending 30 mins on a sat. However certain drivers have protected their duties and are finished and going home by 11.15am (no kidding) . These are the one's who ghost a couple of hours and still finish before me with 3 hrs SA under their belts. I aint happy about it but its been going on for years.

our firms driver was same until a couple of years ago now i think its worst duty in the office i was a floater on it but i had to come of the firms as it was shite i called it dog shite duty

There's a certain office in our post coded area where ghost docket is rife - 2.45 - 3.00 hr walks are dragged out for posties to book 1hr ghost docket daily, whereas take a short trip up the road into another post coded area where walks are 3.5 - 4.0 hrs and walks struggle to complete
