Exactly, but it just means me cutting off more, no way am I working past 5pm...............anytime of the year (especially Saturdays).

Another agreement victory by the CWU (I'm sure we'll get blamed by certain union apologists).


I know of offices now that don't start until 9am who will have their starting times pushed back by a few hours........at this rate of going we'll end up starting a 4am because it'll take those extra hours to put the mail through the machines (so much for modernisation).

Yeah that'd be nice wouldn't it. We've moved to later starts (7am) and are 40 miles from mail centre. Closer DO's still getting mail earlier and lorries not turning up to us until 7.30. MC's won't stop feathering their own nests to help out rural DO's. It's always been the same and probably always will be!

Although they are doing incredibly well with the sequenced mail (i think not). Yesterday of four trays of walk sorted letters.. half a tray was sequenced. And walk logs were completed months ago.

There are NO times in the USO.So it fits in nicely.
