secretary who thinks she,s a manager

In our delivery office we have a secretary who thinks she manages the place,even leaving notes on your fitting to ( see me in my office),for what can only be described as trivial matters,she has caused a number of arguments with her behaviour most people saying she does not have any authority,is this true and what can be done to stop her

Management are recieving no "comms" at all. The reason is everything to be shared with the CWU. Management are walking around like headless chickens at the moment. This "secretary" job is more like a voluntary book room individual. In regards to "comms"..even if they are over spent..nothing! Just the normal sick level s**t.

No one is "only a " whether its a postie, street cleaner, dog waste collector or City Banker - :no no . ALL, well aprt from the City Banker, should be treated with respect.

As to the orginal question, no. DOM Support or secretaries can request and ask for help not demand or tell you what to do unless they are in your chain of command. Although to be honest whilst I wouldn't refuse their demand I would certainly factor in their attitude into how fast I respond.

We have a PHG who thinks she has authority. She seems to forget that she only got that job because she was crap at being a postie and everytime she got told off she started crying. She was giving the rest of us females a bad name :chuckle
