To be honest it's usually a couple of the managers special guys.
They will be easy to spot....their duties will not change during the revision.

It'll be the office rep and whoever else he can rope in................. Then.......they adjust their own rounds to make them easier, and give all the rest of you mugs loads more. That's what most reps do. Easy ain't it?

Your right there Clash,not all reps do the dirty on the members but there are enough of them to to give
the rest of us a bad reputation.

In my city there are 4 offices with reps and 3 out of the 4 are looking after number one.
I just hope that percentage isn't nationwide and im just in a bad area.

By the way i have agreed to do the IR job in my office but only if at least 4 other members agree to form
a committee,so far no takers on the committee front.

Even if the whole office is solid and the rep is a philanthropic genius,the agreement/royal mail/CWU HQ
wont allow much room for sanity to take over-throw in some Area reps that talk 'colin nish' morning,noon and night
and what your left with is an office full of apathetic bitches with a distrust of the DOM and the CWU.

Lino called in to say we are having a pegasus/georoute revision so we can be given our £200. As the big office no nothing about are rounds, the spare from town (headless chicken who brags about how he can finish all our rounds 2 hours early) is going to help input the data. Oh Dear. Are we entitled to see the input data and dispute it if neccesary ?

on the subject of reps ,my rep who is a personal friend as well as a work colleauge(i was his floater for 5, years also) approached me last week asking if i would be willing to cover union duties until we could elect a new rep,as he was so pissed of with the way people were acting in the office(sneaking back to their frames,smokes,coffees,basically not pulling their weight during ips time) that he felt he could no longer bite his lip ,without compromising his postion.i politely declined and calmed him down ,next day the dom said at huddle any one found at their frame (execept van driver preppers,part time walk preppers,b.r.and missort man)would be taken down the conduct code avenue.

Well from the evidence we have they should be easy to spot.

They will be a blind, numerically challenged and unable to read a map or tell the time. Phyiscally they will apparently be on steriods, not liable to suffer from fatigue, and have a muscles like a weight lifter. Emotionally they will be arrogant and always know the area better than a postie who has done the duty for umpteen years, and of course they will have an overwhelming protection complex to the computer that spits out the duties, and no doubt sufer from SS denial syndrome (I was only following orders).
