This is the second time p/t trial periods have been extended in our office without any reason given.
However the letter sent to them had a worrying addition this time stating that it would be extended until a certain date which corresponds with our revision due date.
Taking away all the argument about whether the due date will or will not come, can these people be treated in such a way? It just dosent seem cricket to me!

Legally - Yes - some would say that being given a set date as to when a contract will expire is better than a continually rolling one, I would if there was even a slim chance of being made permanent at the end of the contract, but this changing the dates and dangling a full contract as a carrot when they know they wont offer one is downright despicable.

Agree with you Ron. MORALLY VERY WRONG but... RM don't give a s**t! 
Ask around it's happening everywhere. We've got guys on rolling contracts who aren't even booking meal relief in case they upset the DIM and don't get their contacts renewed. What a Company!
