Yeah we know they did but as a whole the package wasnt that bad. But now it seems managers are taking some of the agreement (ie, longer deliveries, later starting times, only part of the £1000) and ignoring the rest (van-share to take weight of shoulder, 1 in 4 sat off, shorter working week, the rest of the £1000). The big problem also is the word LOCAL as it means the ones at the top can ignore problems at the smaller offices as its a local agreement. If your rep aint that good or up the managers arse so his/her sick record aint mentioned then you dont stand a chance.

There was a lot in the deal that looked OK on paper but it was far too vaguely worded ever to work.
We were asked to trust our employer and to be honest once i had stopped laughing i did consider it for about 3 seconds.
The Union was warned that Royal Mail would cherry pick the bits that suited them and leave us hanging for the rest and that's exactly what has happened.
The question now is...how long will HQ keep up the pretence of "involvement at every stage" and the "new relationship".
Same old bullying..same old savings plans....same old managers...same old Royal Mail.
Same old Union?
It's getting very old...very quickly.

The package was,nt bad? if you dont work in delivery! 600 d2d per weekx6 = 3600 extra items to deliver.PT is approx £11.00-£12.00 per week what result.Bearing in mind no bonus paid anyway and that was the dangled carrott every mug voted for , Bring on the sell off it cant be worse.........

39 hour week - same wages for 1 hours less work a week,
d2d's - now part of live mail - can claim overtime for them and doing 1/6th a day helps on lighter days to fill time especially mon & tues.
£20 a week delivery supplement for 52 weeks a year.

Whats wrong with any of that? Like i say the WHOLE package wasnt bad but we aint getting the whole package

Thats exactly what i said in my 1st post. They are picking bits out of the agreement that certain managers want implemented in their office and dangling £200 in front of us. This is where the union should step in and say no...its all or nothing.

We have them all.
...but we have ALL of the bad points as well...IWT,pegasus,longer delivery spans.
We haven't saved RM a penny though...in fact we have cost them a fortune in overtime and casuals...and we are recruiting again despite the fact they wanted a reduced headcount.
