anyone know the rules with this do they add the bank holiday to your sick leave as this is what i have heard

Depends on when you call in sick, if you told them saturday you wouldn't be in, then you were sick on the bank holiday so it will count towards total days off, if you called for first time on tuesday morning it won't as you were not sick monday and available for work

Or the other way,if you phoned in on the Sat to tell them you are available for work then the Sun and Mon do not count.

Just to add a point if you are sick on a bank hoilday you do not get the day back as annual leave.
