how much more can we do

how much more work can we do now we allready have delivery span of 4 hours plus.not sure how much physically more they can expect us to do. all i know is by the end of the week now i am f##### does any one else feel then the same.

I ve been doing 4 hours for about 18 months now and i think its about the limit for anyone. We have a table top revision going in next week and many older guys are going to struggle

I suppose deliver till you drop attitude is here, if you dont like it, look for another job, thats what it seems like now ,ADVISE; Take your time and play it by the book.

i have been on a 36 hr contract for over 2 years now ,what a con i work between 40-50 hrs nearly every week,the dom knows my duty is to big,3/4 of full timers finish before me.rm are saving a fortune by not giving me a FT contract.

Why aren't you claiming overtime or cutting off?

I am on a 39hr contract which is full time. So having a 36hr contract is really good, some people have been on a 25hr contract for 5+ years. But then again those people that are on a 25hr contract do alot of overtime and it works out cheaper for royal mail by not handing out a full time contract. Savings are as follows, if their is no work available then they save money, if your off work whether it be sick or holidays then another saving in royal mails pocket by not giving you full time pay and you just get the contracted hours set by them. Its unfair and the only way to get your hours increased to full time is by not doing the overtime...but it has to be the backing of the whole office not just yourself.

management are crucifixing delivery staff,,, those senior managers don't give a sh.t... their getting paid thousands to torture delivery......... bottom line is they have families like we all do,,,,,,,, in other words when it effects thier family they will speak out,,,,,,,,,, believe me,,,,,,,, its human nature..... management bleed like we do..........

yep i claim all the overtime,1 manager asked me why i had so much overtime one day, my reply was come out on delivery with me tomorrow and you will see why.,and guess what he never did .ours is a small office we have no union rep and nobody speaks there mind only me and a few others .the others are mugs im afraid.
