Aod and sick pay help?

Hello there i had a aod in april and it involved a disc in my back moving more than it should have but didnt slip so it just takes a long time to settle i tried going back to work in july doing ammended duties and lasted until october, where i was off until january and i have gone back to work on light duties and am currently attending rehab works(not sure it does), but since i have been doing 6 hours a day i have been in pain again and am now trying not to go sick although feel i have little option I am aware my pay will be halfed which i wouldnt be able to live on in this current climate and wondered is there anything the cwu does to make up the wages or help with them as i have heard varying stories in my office and my rep has been uncontactable this week

AOD? Then you shouldn't go on half pay,see my posts in this thread and the document.

If you have an industrial accident or illness or you get attacked on duty then the 6 month rule doesn't count,

Hello mate thanks the reply and link. I read that and as I said if I go off again I had a letter from Sheffield saying I advise you that if your current absence continues you will be placed on sick pay half rate :( and a few other things I can add you on facebook and upload the letter if you want

You need to get it registered as an industrial injury by the DWP. you'll then get an extra 6 months full pay.

Show the pdf and HR letter to your ADR if you can as he should be aware of how it works as well.
Also contact HR and inform them of it.
And yes register your accident with the DWP,there is still time,see here...
